What the app is
Orbit is a personal journaling app built around deliberate letting-go: notes are sealed for months, may be read a limited number of times when they return, and are then permanently destroyed. Destruction is a core feature, not a malfunction.
Your content is irrecoverable — by design
Burned notes are permanently deleted the moment they burn. Deleting the app, or using “Delete everything”, permanently destroys all capsules and clips. Because there are no accounts or servers, nothing can be restored by us or anyone else. You accept sole responsibility for the loss of any content you place in the app.
Purchases
Paper clips are consumable in-app purchases processed by Apple. Prices are shown before purchase. Billing, refunds, and payment disputes are handled by Apple under their terms. Clips have no cash value and are tied to the installation on your device.
Inviting friends
Orbit may let you invite friends and earn peek tickets — a free early look at a sealed capsule. Peek tickets have no cash value; they cannot be bought, sold, or transferred, and they may be limited, changed, or discontinued at any time. Don’t abuse the system — for example with fake or automated referrals — or we may withhold or remove rewards earned that way.
Acceptable use
The app is for your personal, lawful use. You are responsible for the content you write and for anything you choose to share out of the app.
Not a substitute for care
Orbit is a space for reflection, not a medical or mental-health service. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local support line.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, thebbit.lab is not liable for any loss arising from use of the app — including, for clarity, the intended and permanent loss of burned or deleted content.
